Tranq Shot becomes baseline), with that same utility available to MM via aspects, and then we could change our pet’s spec at will. My preferred setup would be for the pets to have only family-based utility (ie. Still, I tend to agree with the OP here, they’ve pushed too much utility into pets and made them too inflexible. Net effect is that MM gets all of the utility associated with pets while also being able to capitalize on our spec theme passive Lone Wolf. MM specifically would also have Tranq Shot as a baseline ability (hell, give it to all hunters, but MM in particular needs it, since we’re designed to run without a pet). Whichever one was used, the hunter would gain both the passive and active ability of that pet family (so leech + lust for Ferocity, etc). These Aspects would either only be usable out-of-combat, or would require a long cast time to change (similar to Dismiss Pet, perhaps longer). MM should get all 3 Pet spec CD’s, but make them shared a CD, like 2 min or what have you.īack in Beta, I actually suggested a system similar to the WoD-era Lone Wolf setup, where we’d have 3 unique Aspects (say, Aspect of the Wolf, Aspect of the Bear, and Aspect of the Fox, which are associated with Ferocity, Tenacity, and Cunning, respectively).
